Crossing healthy with the unhealthy

Whilst doing our usual trend hunting, we came across this nice bit of work by London based designer Daizi Zheng. Her ‘Stereotype’ project encourages people to rethink their associations with food packaging, diet and health.

Daizi’s observations of peoples personal behaviour became apparent and by giving good food a little make over, it could contribute the availability of healthy food and encourages people to make a change for their everyday life. This consisted of using carrot stick cigarettes and celery fries.

I think it’s a very good idea, however not sure how effective it will be. Especially the chip packeted celery, just makes me feel like some McDonalds chips. I’d be pretty annoyed if I got given the red packet to find some chewy green sticks.

Other than that though, the idea is nice.
